Mr. Mark john "Sir Fabz" Fabale is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, education, and community service. With a heart deeply rooted in serving the people of Kabankalan City and beyond, Sir Fabz has consistently demonstrated his commitment to uplifting the youth and making a positive impact on society. As a proud alumnus of the University of the Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics in 2011, and having completed the academic requirements for his Master's in Public Management at the University of St. La Salle Bacolod, Sir Fabale brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his work.

Sir Fabz's efforts have transformed countless lives, fostering hope and resilience within the community. Every project undertaken not only aims to address immediate needs but to also build sustainable solutions that future generations can thrive upon.

Who is Mark John Fabale?

Sir Mark John "Sir Fabz" Fabale is a passionate advocate for youth development, community empowerment, and educational advancement.
A proud alumnus of the University of the Philippines, with a degree in Economics, Sir Fabale has dedicated his life to transforming the lives of young people in Kabankalan City and beyond. His leadership has been shaped by his experiences as a Philippine Youth Ambassador, a youth representative in various national and international forums, and his work as a founder of programs that reach underserved communities, such as Project REACH and Mountain Dreamers Philippines. He also founded and owns MS Workbox, an ESL company based primarily based in Kabankalan city offering career opportunities for the people of Southern Negros with now over 100+ ESL teachers and already expanded to multiple locations in Southern Negros. The company was built with the goal of providing employment and financial independence for the people of Kabankalan, as well as the Whole Negros Occidental.

Educational Programs

Education has been at the core of Sir Fabale’s advocacy. His role as an educator, youth leader, and founder of educational programs reflects his dedication to providing quality education for all:

Project REACH: As a pioneering educational initiative, it not only provides financial and material support to students but also promotes holistic development through skills training, livelihood programs, and values formation. The program encourages young people to pursue their passions while equipping them with practical knowledge they can use to support their families.
MS Workbox: Sir Fabale founded MS Workbox, an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutorial center in Kabankalan City, offering educational opportunities to children and young adults. The center focuses on developing language proficiency to expand career opportunities, particularly for students aspiring to work internationally or in the BPO sector.
Leadership in Schools: As a former College Instructor and Supreme Student Government (SSG) Adviser at Fellowship Baptist College and a Senior High School Teacher at Tan-awan National High School, Sir Fabale mentored young leaders. He supported the development of student councils, fostering youth involvement in decision-making, advocacy, and governance.

Community Outreach

Sir Fabale’s work in community outreach is extensive, particularly in engaging with youth and marginalized sectors:

Youth Service Provider for the City of Kabankalan: Sir Fabale has played a key role in implementing youth development programs at the local level. Through his leadership, various initiatives aimed at empowering young people and addressing issues such as poverty and lack of opportunities were realized. He worked on projects that offered livelihood programs, training, and capacity-building workshops for young people in different barangays.
Outreach to Remote Communities: Through Mountain Dreamers Philippines, Sir Fabale has led outreach activities in rural barangays, including Tan-awan, Hinapunan, FGNHS-Colambo Ext., Carol-an, Locotan, Inapoy, and Camingawan. These initiatives involved providing school supplies, educational assistance, and skills training, particularly for youth in hard-to-reach areas. The outreach projects reflect his commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in terms of access to education and resources.

Sir Fabale has actively collaborated with the City Government of Kabankalan in several of his programs, including Project REACH. This partnership has been instrumental in providing resources and support for educational and youth empowerment projects in the city.
Youth Vote Philippines - Negros Island Chapter: As the regional coordinator, Sir Fabale has built partnerships with local youth organizations, encouraging civic participation and political engagement among young voters. This advocacy ensures that the youth have a say in governance and that their voices are represented in decision-making processes.
National Anti-Poverty Commission for Youth and Student Sector: Serving as a council member, Sir Fabale was instrumental in linking local programs with national initiatives aimed at addressing poverty through education and youth engagement. His role helped form stronger alliances between local youth groups and the national government.

Sir Fabale’s work is driven by his passion for creating long-lasting, positive change in communities, particularly for the youth and underserved populations. His most prominent social impact contributions include:

Project REACH (Reaching and Empowering a Child for Hope): This initiative has provided educational assistance to more than 530 beneficiaries across 11 schools in Kabankalan. By addressing barriers to education, Project REACH has helped children who struggle financially to stay in school and pursue their dreams. The program also includes school supplies and skills training, such as bamboo weaving, equipping students with both academic and practical skills.
Mountain Dreamers Philippines: Founded in 2018, this organization aims to empower youth by providing them platforms for leadership, development, and social entrepreneurship. The group connects young people from rural areas, allowing them to take part in programs that enhance their leadership skills and entrepreneurial abilities.

Through these projects, Sir Fabale has contributed significantly to bridging educational gaps, improving access to essential resources, and fostering leadership among young people, helping them become future change-makers in their communities.

His roles as a Philippine Youth Ambassador and delegate in international programs like the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) have allowed him to connect with young leaders across Asia, sharing best practices and innovative solutions for community development.

Project REACH

Project Reach (Reaching and Empowering A Child for Hope Project), which started in 2018, has uplifted many lives through its education advocacy. Recognized for its excellence in serving the youth, it has been instrumental in reducing dropout rates at Tan-awan National High School by providing targeted educational assistance. Beneficiaries, prioritized by their need and commitment, are receiving not only financial support but a host of additional services that pave the way for their dreams.

Project Reach's growth from three to fifteen schools marks its commitment to making a difference. With heartfelt gratitude for all contributors and partners, this initiative remains dedicated to empowering more deserving students. All glory goes to the blessings received for this impactful journey.

Through the years, Project REACH has been innovative and focused on delivering valuable services to its beneficiaries. In addition to cash assistance, items such as hygiene kits, bags, school supplies, lunch boxes, tumblers, and raincoats were provided to the Reach Kids. Additional services like psychosocial support, livelihood training, sports programs, and other relevant services were also extended.

To help these children get closer to their dreams, a GAD scholarship for tertiary education is now available to them. Project REACH Kids are given priority to become GAD scholars should they decide to pursue higher education.
